Training description

The morning newspaper, the baker’s croissant bag, the milk can, the app to order your pizza, the animated billboard at the station, the influencer’s business card, the concert poster, the festival tickets, the movie credits, the music video, the album cover, the picture in a magazine, the advertisement on the bus stop, the packaging of your new sneakers, the decorations on the pub’s walls, your screen wallpaper, the design of the online shopping website, the last app on your smartphone, the bag of your favourite clothes shop, the logo on the plane, the surfboard, your new sweatshirt tag…

All these objects were handled by a graphic designer.

Every minute of our lives, we look at and we identify brands, messages or images. The mission of a graphic designer is to turn a mundane object into a catchy one. His/her vision helps the world communicate. As long as we use products, share messages and work in companies or organisations, graphic designers will be needed!

Your academic background

01 1st year

At the beginning of the programme, you get a grasp of visual communication through different courses such as colourimetry, graphic design introduction, layout, anatomical and perspective drawing, photography, etc. Those courses aim at liberating the gesture and mastering the techniques but also making you understand how shapes, colours and contrasts work.

In order to refine your early education, you receive training for the software which are recommended on the market (Illustrator, Photoshp, In Design, After Effect, Cinema 4D, etc.). You also get pedagogical training describing the printing techniques.

02 2nd year

The graphic and advertising communication section focuses on developing the following skills:

  • Skills allowing the student to meet the market expectations

In order to fulfil these goals during the second year, the workshops favour:

  • the discovery of the graphic and conceptual fields thanks to research and investigations.
  • The manipulation and animation of graphical objects, images, signs and typographies through a multidisciplinary approach.

03 3rd year

At the end of the programme, you will be seeking signs, images, words and meaning. You produce drawings, photographs, typographies. By using those visuals, you design projects, you create books, magazines, posters, packaging, animations, signage, interventions in space, etc.

You are a graphic designer and the images you propose are made to be read, watched, heard and felt by the audience.
