Training description

The preschool teacher is in charge of children aged from two to six years old. He/she encourages their development by proposing learning activities based on games. He/she guides the child during the crucial period of personality structuring. The preschool teacher is often one of the first key figures outside the family environment.

In order to play his/her role of reference person in the life of young children, the preschool teacher has to master plenty of skills that he/she will learn during his/her programme at the HEAJ.

This programme is structured in three main areas:

  • A subject-based approach of every area of basic education.
  • Teaching tools that develop common skills with other subjects.
  • A professional integration of the future teacher in his/her profession with practice in the field.
